Sunday May 6th: Moved to Rain Date

Rain Date: Sunday May 13th
(Mom’s enter and race free!)

MBAC Rain Date Mother’s Day Sunday May 13th

 Update Information

Those of you that attended our Sunday May 6th event know the results of the heavy rain and hail we received just as our Dirt Drag registration closed. Those who were not able to attend we were forced to move to our listed rain date of Sunday May 13th Mother’s Day. As posted, Mothers will receive free main gate and race fees on that day.

If you attended our May 6th event and did not collect a cash refund on May 6th because of our cancellation, the number plate we issued you for our drags or your helmet labels from both the Mud Bog and Off-Road Challenge will serve as your proof of payment and can be used as race credits for our May 13th event. Sorry, but no future cash refunds can be issued unless our May 13th event is also cancelled. Participants with race credits would be required to be present on May 13th to receive a cash refund.

The $5.00 per person main entrance gate fees will be credit to the participants that signed the main gate release form and can be used on our rain date.

Any under the age 18 Participants that plan on using their race credits on our rain date will be required to fill out or have ready a new release forms for each event they wish to participate in. All release forms received on May 6th will be out dated and not accepted by our insurance provider.

The MBAC is sorry for any inconvenience we may have caused you or your family at this event, and appreciate your consideration and support. A number of the items were out of our control. We hope you will be able to join us on our rain date of Sunday May 13th and celebrate Mother’s Day with a gift she will remember.

Thank you,

With the early Spring weather it’s time to dust off your ATVs, Motorcycles and UTVs. The MBAC Spring Fling is just around the corner. Please take minute to read the following information. A couple important items have changed for our 2012 event. All events in 2012 youth classes will receive 3rd place trophies.  All other classes will only receive 1st and 2nd place trophies.

Please remember and be ready!

Our insurance provider requires both parents to be present at registration and sign the necessary release forms in front of one of our members. The MBAC may also request parents to show ID confirming your signature. Parents can still fill out the release forms prior to race day. Please remember to read and fill out both sides of the form. We only require the signature portion be signed at event time. If one or both under age 18 participant’s parents will not be able to attend our event, we request a signature by both absent parent(s) and notarized release form be presented at registration. Under age 18 participants are required to have a separate release form for each of the events in which they are participating. Release forms can be downloaded from our website at www.monkeybuttatv.com on the Event Detail page and must be printed in color to be accept. You can also e-mail or call us with your address and will mail out the requested number of release forms. Please plan ahead and request your release forms early to avoid running out time before the event.

Mud Challenge

The MBAC Mud Challenge will operate the same classes and rules as it did in 2011. Registration times for the bogs will remain to be from 8:00am to 11:00am, with races starting at 11:30am. If the MBAC feels that at anytime a rider maybe under sized for a machine, or may not be able to handle the machine effectively, the rider may not be allowed to participate in any event.

Dirt Drags

Two items in our Dirt Drags have changed. First, we have removed the wording (must have working head and taillights) from the Trail Mod class description. Second, Hole Shot Lowering/traction devices are not allowed in either Stock or Trail Mod classes. These type devices will only be allowed in Mod and Open classes.

If the MBAC feels that at anytime a rider maybe under sized for a machine, or may not be able to handle the machine effectively, the rider may not be allowed to participate in any event.

Off-Road Challenge

The MBAC will offer the standard courses along with our Advance Off-Road Challenge course as we did for past events. Classes and rules will remain the same as in 2011.  UTVs will compete on our Advance Course and are also required to have helmets and a passenger. You must be 16 years or older to participate in the advance course and anyone under 18 years old must have a release form filled out and signed by both parents to participated in any of the Off-Road Challenges.  If you would like a sneak peak at what the Off Road Challenge will consist of for 2012 you can lend a hand in setting up the course the Saturday (May5th) before our event day. You will also earn a free race pass for the course on event day.

If the MBAC feels that at anytime a rider maybe under sized for a machine, or may not be able to handle the machine effectively, the rider may not be allowed to participate in any event.

Winning Participants Prizes

The MBAC will award each class winner an $18.00 voucher. Vouchers can be put toward purchasing any of our line of MBAC merchandise. Vouchers can also be used for event entry fees (Gate fees excluded). Vouchers carry no cash value and are only good in the Monkey Butt Store towards merchandise and event fees on race day.

Remember!

There will be local law enforcement on hand at our event. Please obey all of our Event Area Rules or you will be asked to leave without refunds! You will be responsible for any fines or tickets issued either from the DNR or local law enforcement.

There is still no changes in the under age 12 participating in a race event on an ATV (DNR rule). Meaning that you should remember to alter your Minis to be wider then 50” for under age 12 racers. You can alter your Minis either with a pool floaties or by some other means. The MBAC will not require you to alter your child’s ATV, but should the DNR issue you a ticket or fine you will be responsible for paying those fines.

The Future of this Event is still in your Hands!

We are asking for more volunteers to step up and not only help before our event, but the day of our event. A number of our past volunteers will be unable to participate this year due to changes in their lives. We are on the verge losing both our Mud Bog and Off-Road Challenge due to lack of volunteers. Please contact me so I can have an idea on who will be available to volunteer on both the day of our event and the workdays leading up to that date.

The MBAC workdays are as follows:

Saturday April 21st  (Fencing along with Event Grounds clean up)

Sunday April 22nd  (Finishing up fencing if needed and grounds work)

Saturday April 28th (Grounds work if needed)

Sunday April 29th (Make up rain date for grounds work if needed)

Saturday May5th (Grounds work and final readiness for our event)

Sunday May 6th (Event day)

If you are unable to attend any of our workdays you can still help keep our event going. The MBAC is asking all of our participants to help locate more sponsors for our events. The MBAC has sent out sponsorship information to all of the dealers and shops in the state line area.  We have made a number of calls to these dealers and shops, but have not received much response for either financial or prizes for our winning participants.  We feel with your help we can encourage these potential new sponsors that our event is worth investing in. Please take the time to stop by your local ATV & Motorcycle dealers and shops, and see if they are a part of the event that you enjoy and use your OHV. If they are already sponsoring our events, thank them and let them know you appreciate their support!  If a dealer or shop owner has not received sponsorship information from the MBAC they can contact us through the numbers or E-mails below.  A few minutes at your local dealer could make all the difference in the future of our events!
