General Rules
Clothing and Gear required - NO EXCEPTIONS:
Long Pants
Over-the-ankle leather boots
D.O.T.-Approved helmet and eye protection
No alcohol or drugs of any kind are allowed on the event grounds.
Any person found with or near any person(s) with alcohol will be asked to leave and be barred from future Monkey Butt events.
Any rider under the age of 18 must have a consent form signed by BOTH parents.
If one or both of the parents are not in attendance at the event a signed
and notarized release form from the absent parent(s) will be required.
No riders under the age of 16 are allowed to compete on ATVs and motorcycles over 400cc.
If the MBAC feels at any time that a rider may be undersized for a machine, or may not be able to handle the machine effectively, the rider may not be allowed to participate in an event.
Speed limit on the event grounds is limited to 5mph. Inappropriate speeds or horseplay can result in eviction from the event.
No pets allowed on the event grounds.
The MBAC is not responsible for any citations or tickets issued by the DNR or local police on the event grounds, or in the surrounding area. All tickets/citations are the responsibility of the receiving person.
4x4 ATVs can run 2x4 classes only in 2x4.
Helmets must be worn at all times when riding ATV or Motorcycle.
All ATVs and Motorcycles must have a working Muffler(s) or Silencer(s)
All machines must pass tech inspection and checked for correct class
placement before competing.
All riders must attend the Driver's Meeting before racing begins.
Drivers have 2 minutes from the time they are called to report to the starting line.
Only 2 persons per ATV or motorcycle will be allowed in the drag area; one rider and one helper (must have wristbands). Helper is for pre-staging rider, if needed.
Before reporting to the line, drivers must be ready to run immediately.
This means boots buckled, helmet buckled, eye protection on and tether
attached to body. Any rider reporting to the line without the required clothing or gear ready will be disqualified from that race.
Once a driver enters the staging lanes, there is no exiting till you lose both bands.
Riders that choose not to enter staging lanes must have assigned person
to hold their place in line.
No burnouts will be allowed in the staging areas or between the staging area and the starting line.
Jumping the starting line will cause a loss for that race.(Red light
determines if rider has jumped)
Crossing any lane lines will cause a loss for that race.
After finishing a race, riders must go immediately to the return lane.
Speeds in the return lane will be kept low. NO stunt riding (i.e. wheelies) will be tolerated in the return lane. Riders CAN and WILL be disqualified for inappropriate riding in the return lane.
Class jumping is allowed for all events if the machine is under-sized for that class.
No chains, studs, paddles, or spikes are allowed in/on tires.
Machines equipped with wheelie bars or using alcohol or alternative fuels will run in "Open" classes.
Commercial tether required on ALL ATVs.
** Tethers will be available for sale and installation on the event grounds the day of the event.
Pre-race inspection has the final say for qualifying machines for any class. This includes determining stock or modified. Stock means visually stock carb, head pipe & silencer, and cylinder & head.
Race inspectors have the right to place non-factory engine and frame combinations in any class.
Riding is allowed ONLY between pits and dragstrip. Sorry, no open riding allowed.
No strapping, cabling or chaining of ATVs to lower allowed. Bolt
in type lowering devices are allowed only in Modified or Open Classes.
No one under the age of 18 years old is allowed to participate in any
Open Class.
Nitrous Oxide bottles must be removed from the machine in any
non-nitrous classes.
Your machine maybe tech inspected at any time
before, during or after a race or class. If you or your machine is
found violating any listed rule, you will automatically be disqualified from
that class along with any other classes you have entered with any machine.
Added weight to any part of the ATV will not be allowed.
Flat Track Type Smooth tires will not be allowed in any Stock Class.
Machine equipped with wheelie bars, extended swing arms or the use of
Alcohol or Alternative Fuels or Nitrous can only run in Open Classes as
listed.
ATVs must have working front and rear brakes if factory equipped.
Mod and open classes ATV are only required to have working rear brakes.
If you or your machine is found violating any listed rule you will
automatically be disqualified from that class along with any other classes
you have entered with any machine.
